Conversation Over Dinner Almost A Lost Art Say Legal and General

According to a new Legal and General study the typical Brit has forgotten how to converse over dinner. Instead we are a nation of TV dinner people, some 44 percent of those surveyed sitting down to eat with the television switched on.

The mobile generation is not left out by the Legal and General survey either, finding 10 percent of people are texting or talking on the phone whilst at the table. Technology plays a large part in all our lives now, though there should still be time put aside for family and friends. A time to talk and also listen to people.

A Legal and General spokeswoman discussed the survey and agreed that technology had transformed the way we live today. She did also add that, as we seem to live around technology now we should ensure contents insurance is in place since accidents with food and drinks will be more frequent.
