Lloyds TSB Warns Against Rogue Traders Flood Repairs

Victims of the floods during the Summer are being warned by Lloyds TSB to tread carefully regarding rogue builders.
The real concern is that people who have been waiting for some time to get repairs done to their property will jump at the opportunity to get work carried out, even though they do not know anything about the person they are getting to do it.
A trusted builder is normally quite busy and does not usually solicit business on the doorstep. Lloyds TSB ask people to remember this and instead ask people they know for recommendations or go with a builder the insurance company recommends. As a nation we spend close to GBP 1.5 million each year on these botch jobs, and at least that much again trying to get the job sorted out afterwards.
In the run up to Christmas it is even more important to get the right person for the job, not rushing to use anyone just so the work can be done before the big day.
