October house prices are on the rise says Nationwide

According to Nationwide the home insurance specialist, UK house prices in October has risen by 0.4 per cent, this is the sixth successive month of growth in the hosing market.
This is a small growth compared to previous months where the rest of the last three months was around one per cent increase. This rise now indicates that the housing market is starting to slow down.
The average house price in the UK now stands at around £162,038 its two per cent higher than the average house price over one year ago.
Also, the stamp duty holiday on houses has now come to an end on houses that are priced less that £175,000 may have a negative impact on buying property, especially for first time buyers.
