Working From Home On The Increase says Zurich Insurance
Published: 10/06/08
A recent survey by Zurich Insurance has found more and more people in the UK are working from home, with almost one third of people currently in a full time job spending some of their working month operating from home.
As well as technology enabling this shift there is also the need for a better work/life balance, something that is appreciated much more now than ever before. Wise words come from Zurich Insurance though to ensure that a happy life is maintained. Working from home usually means extra items are brought into the home to maintain connections with work, some of them being extremely valuable. It is these items that people need to check are insured under the policy cover, since they may take homeowners over the maximum contents value covered or may even need separate insurance cover due to their complexity or ownership.
The simple fact is that a great work/life balance can be achieved through working from home some of the time, but there is no need to add extra pressure by having inadequate insurance cover.
