From the depths of SAP's Toronto storage units comes a new BusinessObjects 4.0 software. This new revamped software is set to be more streamlined and appropriate for all small and mid-sized businesses. SAP claims this new software is appropriate for both types of businesses, as well as departments within large organizations, because both require the same analytic software.
The new SAP BusinessObjects Edge 4.0 software boasts some new features that are more user-friendly and easy to navigate. Users now can create just one semantic layer for online analytical processing data, relational data and front end tools such as Web Intelligence or Crystal reports. It also boasts text recognition software that can track mentions of a company's name or products in various social media sites. There is also an added capability of working with mobile devices.
This software's ease of use is perfect for companies who require this software, but have limited information technology resources.

This new software also incorporates a complex event processing (CEP) tool called Event Insights, which allows companies to receive and analyze information so they can make decisions as changes come. This software is used in the railroad system, to inform the railroad companies when a train has made stops, unloaded freight, and how long it's been waiting to be unloaded. This system is to improve efficiency within any organization.
This new software will be released sometime next month.

Enterprise knowledge products maker InQuira creates software that is useful for Web self-service support, contact center support, and social communities. The company has just announced that its InQuira platform is now SAP-endorsed. The InQuira Platform contains contact center knowledge, integrated social forums, and Web self-service software in one bundle. SAP chose to endorse the platform as they found it to be complementary to SAP software offerings and developed in compliance with SAP guidelines.

SAP also noted that the platform provides more flexible options for business that are already running SAP applications. InQuira worked with SAP during the development phase to achieve out-of-the-box integration between InQuira Platform and SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) software, thus eliminating the need for any custom integration. Both companies also agreed to share technology and product road-maps going forward.

SAP Predicts ERP Scandal; Or Is It?

The SAP has predicted that the allegations against the governing members for Marin County, California are innocent. They are suspected of racketeering but SAP believes this is totally false. The people are accused of getting twenty million dollars with the help of an ERP. This is really a shame. How awful is it to steal from your own community?

It is good news that the SAP thinks the charges should be dropped. These people could lose their jobs and on top of it damage their reputations. The reputation of the county might also be compromised as well. This is not a good situation at all. Although it surprises me that the media hasn't taken a hold of this story; twenty million is an incredible amount of money. Hopefully all will work out soon.
